This photograph of the Oceanside Hotel ca. 1889 from across Hesperus Avenue provides a view of its evolution from the original Perkins House (the first section on the left) as it expanded in successive extensions to the east.
The accession record indicates 1889, as does another Cox photograph at Item #358 showing the hotel in a much earlier state of expansion. These dates invite confirmation.
