Dear Adriaan,
A brief note to let you know how very much Karen and I
enjoyed our short visit to Rotterdam and environs. Although
you were not at the Van Asbecks for lunch, Erwin has clear
memories of you from your student days and I would therefore
encourage you to make contact with him. Karen will be writing
to his wife, Rene, to thank her for the lunch.
The dinner at the Coq d'Or was a spendid event and I
hope that you and Mike and your wives did not feel overwhelmed
by the Brazilian nostalgia emanating from all around you. For
us it was a splendid opportunity to see them all and for you,
hopefully, these are contacts which can be built on in the
future.
Thank you also for showing me your proposed new
building and for introducing me to the executives at the
branch. Much has clearly been achieved in establishing and
working strategy and you now have a base from which to develop
further.
With renewed thanks and looking forward to seeing you
