Dear Aadje,
Let me start by first telling how much I enjoy reading your mails, for their humor, educational content and above for the genuine feelings and illustrations they include.
Second, I wish to correct an erroneous impression that somehow you seem to have developed, maybe due to something that I may have mentioned. Despite all that has happened and continue to take place, May and I are still very much in Lebanon and
so is our Head Office. Many professionals and young people have indeed immigrated in search of a better life, which is very understandable but which is a loss for Lebanon.
The spread of the virus seems to be on a decline, I took both jabs and May took the first already and will follow soon with the second.
I cannot say that life is back to what it used to be, far from it, but we are starting to meet over dinners in small numbers, mainly with our close friends which is very pleasant.
Summer is upon us already and we have been having friends over every week end at Monsef, our beach house which I am sure you still remember.
With the overall improvement of the health environment, May was able to launch a 10k race dedicated to women, though men were allowed to participate but only if they were willing to compete in the 21k race. The event was very successful and was welcomed by all as it sorts of sent a strong signal that were gradually returning to the normal way of living.
I am due to travel to Lagos on June 10 for about a month as I have not been back since July last year...
Thank you for sending the you tube link, I started watching it but will continue watching it when I have a free evening at home.
