Dear Mr Dirkzwager,
Following our two meetings during which we discussed the possibility of you joining the 'Lloyds Bank International' in the Netherlands, I am now pleased to advise you that after due consideration we would like to offer you the position of Manager of our Rotterdam Branch.
You wil recall that on our last meeting in Rotterdam we handed you a job description covering this position and from this and various discussions we would hope that you would by now have a fair idea of the job content and responsibilities.
We expect the present Manager of Rotterdam branch to be leaving the Netherlands shortly, thus we would welcome your reaction to our proposal at your earliest convenience. The terms under which we employ you and the financial details are contained in the draft "Agreement on Conditions of Employment" attached hereto.
In the light of your medical history we regret that the trustees of the LBI Netherlands Pension Fund will require a special medical examination and in this context we attach an envelope containing the necessary examination form and you are at liberty to select one of the three doctors shown on the front of this envelope to conduct this examination.
We look forward to hearing from you shortly,
Yours sincerly,
J.W.S. Cook
