Mr J.N.A. Merryweather, Chief Manger Benelux LLOYDS BANK INTERNATIONAL LIMITED 2 Avenue de Tervuren B-1040 Brussels Belgium. Rotterdam 16th January 1984 Dear Mr. Merryweather, I regret to inform you that I take strong exception against the way you addressed to me on the telephone on Friday January 13, 1984 Firstly, discrediting me for not having responded properly to the invitation of the Christmas party of LBI Brussels. Secondly, misinterpreting the contents of my memorandum dated January 9, 1984, wherein I took great pains to describe the Dutch market situation, which should have been the basis of a constructive discussion, Thirdly, giving me to understand that I am not loyally contributing to the Benelux-concept. Incidentally, the Benelux-concept as yet is not explained to me in detail nor have I seen quantifiable measures, which could serve as an objective and therefore the undersigned will continue to do his utmost to increase profits in the unit for which he is responsible. Under these circumstances I wish to have a meeting with you personally to restore mutual respect. Looking forward to hearing for you. Yours sincerely, signed, ADD Adriaan D. Dirkzwager, Manager
