Dear Mr. Dirkzwager,
This will serve to confirm your employment with Bank of America N.T. & S.A., Rotterdam Branch, effective March 1, 1971 subject to a satisfactory physical examination. It should be understood that during the trial period the Bank reserves the right to terminate employment at any time. Your base salary will be f1650 per month. In addition, our employees participate in a bonus payment, which has in the past amounted to 16% of annual salary, made up and paid as follows: In June, 8% additional salary is paid as a Vacation bonus to all employees of record as of May 31st, who have completed one year's service. Employees with less than one year's service receive their payment on a pro-rata basis. The 8% includes the 6% Compulsory Government Approved Vacation Allowance, payable in June and accrued at 2% per month of employment, beginning with the month of January. In case of termination of employment prior to December 15th, it is understood that you will reimburse the bank for a percentage of annual salary equivalent to the number of months remaining in the year multiplied by 2%. In December, 8% additional salary will be paid as a Christmas bonus to all employees of record as of November 30th, who have completed one year's service. Employees with less than one year's service receive their payment on a pro-rata basis.
