This is to acknowledge your letter of Ma;r 12, 177 concerning re-assignment after the end of this tour, which has been forwarded to Vice President (Regional) F.C. Reinhardt.
Adriaan, I doubt very much that any advance information will be available until the fall, however, as I have previously mentioned, your name has been submitted to the E.M.E.A Devision for re-assignment as near to the end of this year as possible.
I appreciate your wanting to know in advance what area your next assignment might be, but unfortunately events and circumstances can and do change thus making advance planning, even under the best of conditions, difficult to forecast accurately.
Regrettably this is one of the inconveniences all of us in international service are confronted with and learn to make our plans flexible to the extent family responsibilities permit. In this context I am always available to discuss any aspect that may concern you or pass along to the Division special circumstance which might affect your mobility.
