Dear sir,
The other day Mrs Chris Gallaghers draw my attention to the vacancy of the position of Headmaster of your college.
After having discussed the idea of being a Headmaster with my wife, I now write to you to formally apply for the job.
You will notice from my application form that I am a banker by profession.
In essence I consider as the main objective of the employment the delivery of a product , that is, a high educational standard in turn for a schoolfee. At the same time the ressources must match the expenditures.
I visualize myself as a member of a team, which has to do an outstanding job to maintain the high repute of the school.
I have carefully studied the list of responsibilities (the specifications for the posting) from At o F, which I am prepared to assume if we reach an agreement.
However in respect of the heading: "STUDENT DEVELOPMENT" I shall, to a great extent, have to rely on the already present experience.
A definitive 'YES' from me depends very much on whether or not I can support the Board of Directors' views on how the College should be financially run.
I appreciate the limitations of this letter and that of the application form to get to know each other, and therefore I would like to be invited for a meeting to exchange views.
