Attached articles that underscore the idea that we live in a society similar to the last days of the Roman Empire. They also didn't get enough "Bang for their Denarius and Sestertius or whatever."
Last week the Dutch government announced that energy consumption in the Netherlands increased last year (I have no idea what the criteria are) instead of keeping it at the same level as the year before.
We are addicted to energy! More goods, more gadgets, more material wealth and it doesn't make us happier, according to the article you send us. What we really need is recognition from our community, where we live. But all these electronic devices to distract ourselves make a community unnecessary. At the same time morality and ethics become less important. Morality is a function of interdependence between people and secondly it only applies when there is respect and affection. This the view from an amateur philosopher.
I noticed in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam a glaring lack of knowledge on the subject: "the Bulbs." Fortunately I found in the International Herald Tribune (the source of my knowledge) an interesting article about 'bulbs', which I will attach to this letter. in the envelope.
