A verified authentic Salviati Murano glass plate, dating to approximately the 1950s. Founded in Venice in 1859, Salviati became one of Murano’s internationally recognised glasshouses and was particularly celebrated for sophisticated filigree and aventurine work.
This documented design combines radiating pink ribbons with intricate white zanfirico lattice canes, each bordered by shimmering copper aventurine. Zanfirico is a demanding Venetian glassmaking technique in which patterned canes are twisted and incorporated into molten glass before the form is shaped. The precision of the radial construction and aventurine detailing makes this a particularly attractive example of postwar Salviati production and a strong collector piece.
This would look amazing displayed as wall art :) & being glass, it can happily be well lit.
