Description
A striking vintage Czech art glass vase designed by Josef Hospodka for Chribská Glassworks, Czechoslovakia, dating from the 1960s. This documented design appears in the Chribská catalogue as shape 155/1/25. Hospodka was one of the key figures in post war Bohemian glass design, helping move Czech glass from traditional cut crystal toward bold sculptural forms, saturated colour, and modern studio influenced shapes.
Chribská pieces from this period are admired for their heavy cased glass, fluid organic modelling, and strong decorative presence.
This example is in the same blue and amber colourway as the catalogue reference, making it a very collectable mid century design piece for display or use as a statement vase.
