A rare early printing of Wild Flowers; or, Pastoral and Local Poetry by the celebrated English pastoral poet Robert Bloomfield, published in London in 1806. This volume appears to be a first edition, bound in its original early 19th-century leather boards.
This copy shows evidence of age and long-term handling across more than two centuries, yet remains an evocative and authentic example of early British literary publishing. An old Dunedin bookseller’s label (Newbolds) is affixed to the inside cover, along with an early owner’s name handwritten in fountain pen on the first page.

C O N D I T I O N:
This antique book has been professionally repaired at some stage in its long life. The leather binding shows wear, cracking and age marks. Pages appear to be all present, with some historic repairs. Dealer label on inside cover (Newbolds, Dunedin). A previous owner’s name is written in fountain pen on the first page. A well-preserved and appealing early edition, showing the character expected of a book more than 200 years old.
