150626j Large Green Hand Blown Modernist Art Glass Centrepiece
Entry/Object ID
150626j
Description
A large vintage hand blown art glass centrepiece dish, likely Scandinavian or European in style, though unsigned and with no maker’s mark present. The long oblong form, polished base, graduated green colour, and clear defined rim reflect the modernist glass design popular from the 1960s to 1980s, when studio and factory glassmakers explored simple sculptural shapes, colour depth, and functional display pieces for the home. The vibrant green tone has strong current decor appeal, while the hand finished base adds to its quality and character. A striking vintage centrepiece for a dining table, console, or curated interior, and a more sustainable alternative to buying new decorative glass.
