Thank you for your support of a purely NZ-owned small business.
A rare Royal Crown Derby porcelain tea set dated 1908, featuring beautifully hand painted cobalt blue marine scenes. Each cup and saucer is individually decorated, depicting sailing vessels, calm coastal waters and distant fortifications, with no two scenes alike. The finely detailed sails and rigging reflect the technical precision associated with Derby marine painter W.E.J. Dean. Each piece bears the Royal Crown Derby green crown backstamp with the 1908 date cipher beneath the cypher, confirming Edwardian production.
The set comprises six cups and six saucers, plus one additional spare saucer. A scarce surviving example of over 115 year old Derby artistry, ideal for collectors of fine English porcelain.
