A Vintage Egyptian chess set featuring a beautifully hand-crafted inlaid board from mother of pearl, shell, and wood, paired with authentic intricately hand carved camel bone pieces. The board displays traditional geometric mosaic patterns, while the figures are carved in classic Egyptian revival style with stylised forms and architectural motifs. Dating to the mid 20th century, these sets were produced for the tourist and export market, and are highly decorative and collectible. This set has a high level of detail, and would have taken days to create. A complete and visually striking set suitable for both play and chess collectors.
