A fabulous Murano art glass vase, hand blown in Venice, Italy, possibly 1950s to 1960s. This piece reflects the postwar revival of traditional Venetian glassmaking, where techniques such as applied raspberry prunts and gold leaf inclusions were reintroduced in more sculptural, decorative designs for export. Prunts are a historic feature seen in earlier Venetian glass, revived during the 20th century as a reference to classical craftsmanship. Gold foil was widely used by Murano workshops to enhance light and depth. An authentic example of Italian art glass from this period.
