A striking Mid Century Modern bullicante solifleur vase attributed to Ekenäs, Sweden, circa 1960s. The vibrant chartreuse yellow tapered flute rises from a substantial clear domed base filled with controlled bubbles, created using the classic bullicante technique. The clear bulb base shows a faint purple blue hue under regular lighting but appears clear in direct sunlight, possibly indicating manganese content, a characteristic sometimes found in mid century glass. A sculptural example of Scandinavian modernist design with beautiful light refraction.
