A beautiful Mid Century Modern Murano art glass bowl featuring the classic bullicante technique, with controlled bubbles evenly suspended throughout the amethyst tinted glass. This effect is created by blowing glass into a mould to form indentations, then encasing it in a further layer to trap uniform air bubbles within the body. The organic free form rim and substantial weight are characteristic of 1950s to 1960s Venetian studio production.
I am listing a collection of art glass which are created using this technique.

C O N D I T I O N:
Good vintage condition. No chips or cracks observed. Age related surface scratches to the base consistent with authentic mid century use. Light wear commensurate with age.
