Description
A Swiss made Paillard Bolex H16 Standard 16mm motion picture camera, manufactured circa 1955 and presented on an original Paillard Bolex dealer counter display stand with enamelled logo plaque. Dealer display stands of this type are seldom encountered, making this an especially appealing presentation for collectors. The camera retains its original serial number, 191928, stamped to the base.
The H16 is renowned for its precision mechanical construction, spring wound motor, and enduring role in documentary, educational, and independent filmmaking throughout the mid twentieth century.
This non reflex example features the classic rotating three lens turret and direct optical viewfinder used prior to the introduction of the H16 Reflex models in 1956. It is fitted with three period C mount cine lenses, including a Yvar 36mm f/2.8 and a Som Berthiot Cinor 17.5mm f/2.5, as photographed.
A highly decorative and collectable piece that displays beautifully!
