A Swiss made Paillard Bolex H16 Standard 16mm motion picture camera, produced in the early to mid 1950s and presented on an extremely rare & original Paillard Bolex dealer counter display stand with enamelled logo plaque. The H16 is renowned for its precision mechanical construction, spring wound motor, and enduring role in documentary, educational, and independent filmmaking throughout the mid twentieth century. This example features the classic rotating three lens turret and direct optical viewfinder used prior to the introduction of the later reflex prism system. The camera is fitted with multiple period lenses, believed to be Kern Paillard examples, as photographed. A highly decorative and collectable piece that displays beautifully while also appealing to cine camera enthusiasts.
