A superb mid-century ribbed art glass vase by Sanyu Glass, Osaka, Japan, c.1960s–70s. This well-documented model features a flared rim and fluid, ribbed form, created in heavy, high-quality blown glass. The colour palette is characteristic of Sanyu’s output, with golden amber and emerald green overlaid in the Sommerso style, and a fine layer of cobalt blue visible at the base.
Sanyu Glass was one of several Japanese studios producing Murano-inspired decorative glass during the mid-century period. Their pieces are increasingly recognised and sought after for their craftsmanship, weight, and striking colour combinations.

Displays well. A small surface knock to the lower base is visible (refer to close-up image), though the glass remains structurally sound with no cracks or fractures. Minor base wear consistent with age. Please review all images carefully as they form part of the description.
