Description

**Recycle, Reuse, ReLove! Please make an offer via the ‘Questions’ panel below. Thank you for your support of a purely NZ-owned small business.** A compact American 8-day mantel clock made by the Ansonia Clock Company, dating from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century. This example features a warm stained wooden case with a rounded top, a brass bezel, and a classic white enamel dial marked Ansonia. The form echoes the small carriage-style clocks produced for domestic use during this era, valued for their reliability and straightforward design. Ansonia was one of the leading American clockmakers of the period, well known for producing quality spring-driven clocks in a wide range of styles. This piece presents clean lines and a traditional appearance, making it an appealing addition to a vintage or heritage interior.
