A stylish mid-century mechanical alarm clock made in Japan by Rhythm, a well known clockmaker established in the mid twentieth century. This example features a panoramic rectangular form with a deep acrylic front, angled golden side panels and raised white numerals that reflect the bold design sensibilities of the 1950s to 1970s period. The clock uses a 2 jewel mechanical movement and includes a rear alarm function, typical of Rhythm’s quality wind up desk and bedside clocks. Its sleek elongated profile and star shaped hands give it a distinctive retro appeal, making it both a functional timekeeper and a decorative display piece for a contemporary or vintage styled interior.

Keeps good time and works well. The clock is in great overall condition with some age related wear to the brass effect bezel. The back is marked No.51052 Japan.
