First edition of Colonel Sun, published in 1968 by Jonathan Cape, London. Written by Kingsley Amis under the pseudonym Robert Markham, this is the first official James Bond continuation novel following the death of Ian Fleming. Set in the Aegean Sea, the story sees Bond tracking a sadistic Chinese colonel to a remote Greek island. Colonel Sun is regarded as one of the stronger post Fleming Bond novels and remains an important title for collectors of the James Bond literary canon.
This example is a true first edition, first impression, published 1968. Hardcover in original black cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Missing dust jacket. 255 pages, complete.
