Description

Antique Japanese Woodblock > Hasegawa Settei, Beauty in Old China > 4 of 4 Recycle, Reuse, ReLove! [Kindly be advised that I am offering a set of four woodblock artworks for sale. To capture their visual details and ensure their protection from environmental harm, I have taken them out of their original frames and secured them in plastic archive sleeves. It is worth noting that their initial card backing lacks acid-free properties, making it unsafe. ] The artwork is a Japanese woodblock print created by Hasegawa Settei (1819-1882) during the 1920s. Titled "Beauty in Old China", the print depicts two women engaged in a conversation, with one of them seated at a weaving loom. The artist's signature 'Settei' seal is visible in the lower right corner of the print, printed in-block. Image paper size -300x200mm
