A pair of exceptional 19th-century French glass vases, attributed to François Théodore Legras or possibly Baccarat. Each vase features classical hand-gilded enamel scrollwork in the Rococo style, with slight variation consistent with hand decoration. The glass carries a faint amethyst tone, indicative of manganese dioxide content — historically used in the 19th century to decolourise and clarify glass.
Affixed with a BADA (British Antique Dealers Association) label certifying the pair as over 100 years old — these labels were issued for customs purposes in the 1950s–70s, confirming the vases date to at least the 1870s.
