A striking Holmegaard “Viking” carafe or jug designed by Ole Winther for Holmegaard Glassworks, Denmark – an iconic example of Scandinavian mid-century design.
This piece displays a subtle purple hue and light iridescence, especially under natural and UV light, suggesting it may be neodymium (alexandrite) glass.
Highly collectable and rarely seen, this piece makes an impressive decorative object.
