An impressive pair of mid-century table lamps crafted from cast bronze and polished black Italian marble, attributed to James Mont, in the manner of Marbro Lamp Co. The combination of stylised Asian dragon motifs, architectural profiles, and luxurious materiality are all hallmarks of Mont’s celebrated East–West fusion aesthetic.
The engraved gilt-bronze panels depict highly detailed Asian dragons, framed by fluted architectural forms. Mounted on pierced cast bronze bases with bamboo-inspired patterning, each lamp is exceptionally heavy and substantial.
The pair comes with possibly original vintage shades. Each lamp has been rewired in the recent past and is in working order.

C O N D I T I O N:
Very good vintage condition, see photos for detail. Light surface wear to bronze consistent with age. Lovely green patina developing. Marble is highly polished with natural veining and mineral inclusions. One lamp has natural stone patterning (not damage) to the shaft, visible in photographs. Shades are vintage and do have wear etc. They are optional.
