A vintage pair of expressive lion and lioness sculptures, attributed and signed to G. Ruggeri on the base. These highly stylised pieces display classic mid-century anatomical exaggeration and emotive detail. Finished in a rich, mottled faux-bronze glaze. Likely manufactured from a heavy cast resin or plaster compound. These works were commonly made in Italy and exported widely during the mid-20th century.

Male Lion: 28 cm (L) x 16 cm (H)
Lioness: 28.5 cm (L) x 13 cm (H) x 7.5 cm (W)
C O N D I T I O N:
Aged condition with signs of handling and surface distress. Minor chips and edge knocks present, mostly around the base perimeter and extremities. Both figures remain structurally stable and retain excellent visual presence. Please review all photos for detailed condition.
