A sculptural mid-century ceramic bowl by Jasba Keramik, West Germany, dating from the 1950s–60s. This elegant form features Jasba’s distinctive Fat Lava-style glaze in a dramatic “cracked ice” finish — a textured white lava glaze that spreads across a glossy black ground, creating rich surface contrast.
The long, leaf-like form with flared handles and pedestal-style base is marked to the underside “Germany 625/26”, a known Jasba shape number. Founded in 1926, Jasba was known for producing highly decorative and technically refined ceramics, and this piece is a strong example of their post-war production.
An ideal table centrepiece or for collectors of West German pottery and lava glazes.
