History of Object:
Documents found in City Hall attic during remodel in the 1990s, placed in a new folder after donation to the museum in 2011. Tab of original folder (now discarded) stated: "Police Department 1939-1943”. Folder contains correspondence from/with/about the police department, including a newspaper article reflecting FBI teaching police. Includes letter from Chief of police Vern Smith that contains some biographical data and information on police training procedures.
