Design of raised flowers with center motif of what appears to be a state capital (possibly Illinois) with dome. Imitation leather box with wine plush interior. Size: (box) 4x3 inches, calling card case size, 3½x2½ inches. History of Object: Calling card case of Mary Josephine Smith, who settled in Alameda in the 1890's, coming from Chicago, Illinois.
