History of Object: Calling Card of Mark J. Hanna (1915-2008), printed during his tenure as City Engineer. Hanna and his wife Lois moved to Alameda in 1946, and he went to work as Junior Engineer for the City; in 1953 he was appointed City Engineer. He retired in 1981, subsequently served on the Planning Board for two years, and then on the City Council from 1983 to 1987. He served on the Board of Directors for the Bureau of Electricity from 1992 to 2000. He volunteered at the Altadena and was active in the Kiwanis Club. Lois and Mark Hanna had 3 children, and died within a month of each other. Mr. Hanna was 92.
