Description: hardbound book, with cover of plasticized buckram, covered with a protective plastic layer. The cover design is of 2 black and 2 purple blocks, one of the black blocks featuring a stylized white chess piece, and another in white: 'Horizon -63-'.

History of Object: Encinal High School Yearbook for 1963. The book was created by a group of students, and features photos of students and staff, including larger head-shots of the senior class (Class of 1963), as well as smaller sized photos of the all lower classes ('64, '65, '66); and photos of student activities and organizations. Also includes advertisements by businesses of the period. inside cover features a photo of a pool with diving board - recording the first year there was a pool at the school.
