Description: Carbon copy of a typewritten report on Alameda Historical Society stationery. Opening page has bold printed caption "A Brief History of the Alameda Light Plant". A. bound in a cover with green crushed-ice design (4 pages). B. staple-bound (3 pages).
A's extra page, identifying the writer, appears to have been lost from B.
Size: L 11 W 8 1/2 inches.
History: Copies of a History of the Alameda Municipal Electric Light Plant beginning in 1886 and ending during the World War II period, compiled by Mrs. Jenning C. Spencer. B. was part of the original Alameda Historical Museum collection, numbered 215. Original number of A is illegible. Page 4 suggests the original was placed the cornerstone box of the West Wing of the Alameda High School.
