Orange-gold heavy linen with hand blocked design (pseudo Indian elephant in circular medallion). Napkins & tablecloth with fringed hems. History of Object: Table linen (luncheon set) hand decorated by Maude E. Fischer Baker, daughter of Charles F. Fischer, stepson of Denis Straub. Mr. Fischer was a plumbing contractor. He married Agnes Thomsen and had two daughters, Maude E. & Edna Margaret. Maude studied art design at the S.F. Art Institute, San Francisco.
