Description:
Tin coal scuttle with bail handle and protruding front rim for pouring coal. The rear portion of the scuttle's body has a half circular handle, used as a grip while pouring contents. It sits on a flanged base. Maker unknown.
Size: 9¼ inches to highest point of rim, 9 inches across base.
History of Object: Found while clearing out the estate of Mrs. Ella King, 2153 San Jose Avenue, Alameda. The King family had occupied the home as early as 1920.
