Description: Hardbound ledger book with interior of numbered and lined pages. Front cover has a pasted Maxfield Parrish Edison Mazda ad in typical parrish cobalt blue. Size: L - 13 1/4 x W - 8 inches. History of Object: Ledger concerning land transaction, taxes, sewer assessments, etc. Page 126 has an entry dated 1891 for an Alameda lot, Johnson Ave., at a later date, possibly 1918, the ledger has been used as a scrapbook, and has colored illustrations for household objects cut from ladies magazines. The book is believed to have originally belonged to Mrs. W. W. Westover, 1829 Santa Clara Ave., the donor found it in an attic of an unidentified home and knew nothing of its history.
