The subject is a lighthouse with caretaking outbuildings. Size: L-28” x W-36” History of Object: This scene is unusual subject matter for the artist, Edwin Siegfried. It was originally owned by Chester & Helga Fenn, neighbors of Mr. Siegfried who resided at 2044 Alameda Avenue. The artist was a member of a pioneer Alameda family, self-taught, and a prolific pastel artist usually of nature scenes rather than of human constructions.
