Self fringe. History of Object: Paisley shawl that belonged to Lura Smith, artist (porcelain painter), who came to live in Alameda in the 1890's. There are examples of her work in the Museum collection. She died in 1912. Note: See biographical information on card 81.269.24 Acquired from: Estate of Yvonne Low (niece of Lura Smith) Date: 2-9-1990
