History of Object: Textbook used by Castor Nielsen, employee of the Naval Air Station, Alameda. Textbooks used in civilian training classes for air mechanics for NAS in 1942-43. Castor Nielsen was coordinator with the Base and school. A longtime resident of Alameda, he was hired as an air mechanic in April 1941 and retired as a personnel supervisor in Jan. 1959.
