Description: A key chain composed of a metal split ring, and plastic tag in the shape of a watch with embossed design picked out in gold-colored paint, attached with a section of more flexible plastic. On the back of the 'watch' is a design of two right hands holding each other and the text: 'IT'S TIME TO SAY THANKS / 15th Anniversary / MC IVER / STUDIO / 2311 A Santa Clara / Alameda CA 94501'

History of Object: key chain or key ring with advertising tag commemorating the 15th anniversary of Mc Iver's (or McIver/MacIver/Mac Iver) Photography Studio at 2311 A Santa Clara. The Photography business was owned by John (1903-1973) and Opal (1906-2001) MacIver. Today (2024) the space is occupied by Gold Spa. The suite is part of the Koerber building, built in 1892 by McRae Brothers, at one time (1981) owned by John and Georgianne Towata. John and Georgianne Towata were the parents of John S. Towata (1947-2020), after whom Towata Park was named (1976), and the family business was the Towata flower shops, started after WWII internment.
