In 1960 Dimitris “Jim” Geanekos opened his restaurant Jim’s Coffee Shop. At the time, it was a to go counter and later he was able to expand it into the full service restaurant that it is today. Jim immigrated to the United States from Greece, and he eventually passed on the business to his son Tom, who now runs it and the sister location, Jim’s on the Course (on the Corica Golf Course).
