Description: Oblong wooden glove box (hinged lid). Lid decorated with inlay (brass strips), mother-of-pearl & iron like raised buttons. Key locked. Box-curly walnut, rosewood (graining) interior.
Size: L-10 1/4 x W-4 x H-3 1/4 inches.
History of Object:
Glove box that belonged to Mrs. Thomas A. Thomson, great grandmother of the donor. Mr. & Mrs. Thomson were early residents of Alameda. They lived at 2114 Encinal Avenue.
