Black velvet with gold lame (black pattern in Art-Deco style), reversible to solid black velvet, cape. Darts create shoulder line. Two large gold lale with black velvet tassels hang down the front of garment when worn.
History of Object:
Fashionable cape purchased in Paris in 1927 by the donor's mother, Harriet Holmes Haslett. It was worn to numerous occasions in Alameda.
