Description: Text book with blue buckram covers; Manual of Physical Education Activities for Elementary Schools, Neilson and Van Hagen stamped in black with symbol of State Board of Education, all inside simple black border. Title page states, in part, California State Department of Education Division of Health, Manual of Physical Education Activities for the Elementary Schools of the State of California, Prepared by N.P. Neilson and Winfred Van Hagen, 1929. Inside front cover is printed: “This is a California State Text book”, etc., and name Otto Rittler is handwritten on fly piece. On inside of back cover is handwritten in black ink Otto Rittler, St. Mary's College, Oakland, Cal. Songs and games for elementary school-aged children are described, along with line drawings and some songs.
