Description: receipts printed on yellow paper with a bold printed caption, "Rhodes-Jamieson & Co., Inc.". There are two styles, A. featuring two lithographic images, one stating 'Coal and Material Dealers', with on a framed area, 'lime, brick, sand, rock, cement, hay & grain, sewer pipe', the other image showing warehouses and a dock, with caption 'Warehouse & yard, cor. Park St. & Blanding Ave, office 1520 Park Street'; B. with heading 'statement', and 'To Rhodes-Jamieson & Co., Inc. Dr. Dealers in fuel, feed, building material and poultry supplies, 1520 Park Street'.

History of object: receipt for fuel purchased from Rhodes-Jamieson & Co., Inc., 1520 Park St, Alameda. Receipts were issued to Mrs. G. B. Fitch, oldest ones with address at 1808 Lafayette, from 1914, at 1809 Willow St., Alameda. The collection also shows the advent of the typewriter; the last two receipts (paid 1-8-16 and 3-1-16) are typewritten.
