History of Object: Two awards for perfect attendance granted to two children of the Pacini family of 2418 Buena Vista, currently occupied by the donor. Lorenzo Pacini and Isola Luccarini came to the US in 1922, and married in 1922 in Oakland. By 1930 they were living in the 1886-built home at 2418 Buena Vista with their 3 children, Henry (b. 6/20/24), Lido (b. 1/22/26), and Laura (b.11/18/29). Lorenzo worked at a foundry. Henry was drafted in 1943, and died, location unknown, in 1981, no records found of a wife nor children. Laura married Alameda native Frank Martinelli whose father, Dante, worked at 'a pottery' in 1930, and had lived at 1608 Sixth Street (built 1907), with extended family. Frank and Laura moved to at 3009 Van Buren (built 1922), and Laura died in 2004. Frank worked for the City of Alameda, and died in 2011; they had no children. Lido stayed in the house at 2418 Buena Vista until his death in 2008.
