History of Object: Illustrated study of the silent movie and its stars. The book originally belonged to Rose Krueger, mother of the donor. The Krueger family came to Alameda from Chicago, Illinois around 1920. They followed another family member, a Mrs. Bertha Krueger (of 2269 Clinton) who had come in 1918 or 1919. Rose Krueger was a longtime resident of Liberty Avenue and her home is still retained by members of the family.
