Gold plated metal frame (& catch) with chain link handle. Interior lined with brown colored silk. History of Object: Beaded purse originally owned by Mrs. August Pearson Note: Collection from the August Pearson family. Mr. Pearson owned and operated a coal-hay-ice & grain store, located at 1331 Park Street, Alameda. It was later called the Crystal Ice Co. He built a home at 1327 Park Avenue (now demolished).
