History of Object: Copy of pages relating to Alameda from the book 'California Drawbridges (1853-1995), The Link to California's Maritime Past', by Bernard C. Winn, Incline Press, San Francisco, and a book review of the same by Patricia Holt, from the S.F. Chronicle of 2-25-1996. Discusses the Park Street Bridge, Bridge, which carried a single set of streetcar tracks on a wooden deck, had a wrought iron, thru truss wing span and wooden trestle approach spans, was completed in 1891, and dismantled in 1934.
